New England, a private, not-for-profit, community-based organization
dedicated to serving children and adolescents with autism spectrum
disorders, acquired brain injury, neurodevelopmental diseases and
disorders, dual diagnosis and severe challenging behaviors. The day
school serves 110 children, 46 of whom are enrolled in the 24-hour a day
residential program. Additionally, Melmark New England supports over
500 children in public schools throughout Massachusetts through its
outreach consultation services.
Melmark’s goal for each student is for them to have a meaningful life
and attain the highest possible level of personal growth and
achievement. The school staff teaches functional vocational skills that
will lead to a lifetime of meaningful employment after they graduate
from our school program.
